XSD element using union that maps to class does not allow objects of type
I have an XSD element that maps to a class in my.NET project, but for whatever reason, I get a class exception if I add an object to the collection. If I delete the element, everything works fine. Is this a limitation in the XSD? I'm not sure how else to try to make this work.

@chris.dipper has a good answer to the original question.
To summarize his answer, "You cannot add anything to the collection and expect type safety".
You're not using XSD for type safety, and XSD is not designed to enforce type safety.
